Christine Lee, M.Ed.
Registered Psychologist
Christine has been a Registered Psychologist since 2008. Christine believes we all have internal strengths and resources to work through life's challenges, but sometimes we lose sight of these strengths, sometimes there are gaps in our skills set, or perhaps there are blind spots in how we view a problem situation. Christine helps clients explore, discover and understand themselves and helps clients learn new skills and strategies to create positive change. She tailors her therapeutic approach to fit each individual's goals, needs, personality style and readiness for change, but draws primarily from person-centered, solution-focused and cognitive-behavioural (CBT) therapies. She also offers the possibility of integrating clinical hypnosis and EMDR into therapy.
Christine obtained her Masters of Education in Counselling Psychology from the University of Alberta and completed a residency at the Calgary Counselling Centre. Through the years Christine has provided counselling in non-profit, Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and private practice settings. She also provides employee health assessments for employers and mental health consultations for physicians. Her areas of interests include anxiety, depression, anger management, substance abuse/addiction, domestic violence, stress management and self-esteem.
