Cassandra Kleefman, MC
Registered Psychologist
With authenticity and a sense of humour, Cassandra utilizes a multi-faceted approach in her treatment of both couples and individuals. Cassandra incorporates the use of empirically validated and evidence based approaches (i.e., psychodynamic, cognitive behavioural therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, feminist theory, existential therapy, EMDR), and primarily treats from an experiential process-based lens. Advocacy and psychoeducation are instrumental in her treatment, and she aims to ensure that every client feels educated and empowered in their journey.
Cassandra specializes in sexual health and sex related issues. She focuses on sexual pain (aka pelvic floor pain) and sexual dysfunction, and also works with intimacy, infidelity, desire issues, and other sexual health experiences. Other areas of interest include relationship building and self-esteem/self-image work.
She is a graduate of the Master of Counselling program through City University of Seattle. She has her certificate in Intensive Sex Therapy from the University of Guelph, as well as her Sexual Health Certificate through the University of Alberta. Cassandra has experience working with addictions, sexual assault/trauma, and youth.
Cassandra is available for both in-person and virtual sessions and is currently accepting new clients. She welcome clients from all genders, ethnicities, sexual orientations, and relationship arrangements.
